In Happiness Week it was totally appropriate to find ourselves back in a room together for a Pilates class. After two years of lockdown I was really nervous but I needn't have worried - the greetings were joyful if socially distanced and the pleasure on everyone's face was clear to see.
Getting back together has its own challenges at the moment - not least of all because I no longer have a dedicated studio space - but we found a regular space at Owen Street Community Centre so we are up and running, and I couldn't be happier.
Pilates is my happy hour and I think teaching Pilates might well be my super power! How lucky am I to have a job that lifts me up when I'm down, and that provides me with a living; it really is a hobby that keeps on giving!
So welcome back everyone. I hope to be able to offer more in-person classes over the coming weeks and months; but don't worry if you're not ready yet - times have changed and De Ville's is now a hybrid business - with a great mix of online and face-to-face classes.
So check us out and when you are ready to find your happy hour come and join us - I can't wait to see you - in person or in the Zoom Room.
